My Connections to Play

As a little girl I loved to play with my dolls. I would act like they were my children and I would take care of them. I would do their hair, give them baths, and feed them. I would play with my dolls for hours as a little girl. I even played dolls with my friends. I would occasionally sneak one of my dolls to school so during recess me and my friends could sit in the grass and talk about our dolls and other cool toys we had. Today, I have seen kids who play with their dolls like I did growing up but now with the way technology has advanced over the years. Children prefer mainly electronic devices over your traditional toys.

 In the photos below are 2 of my favorite dolls I played with as a little girl.  The top photo is the "Cup cake doll" and the bottom photo is the "Kenya doll". I was definitely a "girly girl" when I was little and I loved playing with dolls of course.  What are some of your favorite childhood toys?




 

Relationship Reflection

Having positive relationships with individuals  from family, caregivers, educators and friends has a major impact on how a person develops. I cherish the relationships I have with the people very close to me because they encourage me to do my best and have an impact on the nice, caring individual I am today. Without these people in my life that I feel really close to I would feel lost and without a genuine person by my side. 

My Best friend Brittiany
My friendship with Brittiany is one that I really cherish. She is easy to talk too, and we have a great understanding of each other, and we have a lot of similarities. We love fashion and partying together. Whenever I have a problem Brittiany is always there for me she never judges me even when I am in the wrong. She is very understanding and I love the fact that we are very supportive of each other no matter what.

 My friend Angelica
My friendship with Angelica is very important to me.  We have been friends since undergrad at Tennessee State University. We both graduated with our degree in Psychology and we have been staying in touch ever since.  We are more than just friends we are business partners as well and we have a great relationship. I can talk to Angelica about anything and we share our thoughts and opinions on many things.
